Crochet Among Us Plush Pattern

Updated: Dec 30, 2020

I don't know anything about this online game. I saw people making these characters, I was wondering what are these things with no arms? They look kind of weird for me.

Then one day, my nephew sent me the pictures of Among Us crewmates and asked me to make one for him. He said this game is going crazy now. So I searched online. Yes, this game is very popular. The pattern is pretty easy. Body, backpack, and goggle, that are all they have.

At first, I tried the Premier Cotton Fair Yarn to make the small size amigurumi. I like the texture of this yarn and the weight just perfect for the size I wanted. It's about 9 cm in height. They looked so cute in this size and they are great to be a keychain or Christmas ornament! You can make some for the stocking stuffer!

For the small size pattern, I'm pretty sure you can find a lot of free patterns online. The one I want to share with you here is the big and medium size Among Us plush that are made with Bernat Blanket yarn. I love to use Bernat Blanket Yarn for big size plush because it is so soft and cozy. Also, it's chunky and works up fast. The big one finished size is about 14in (36cm). The medium is about 11in (29cm).

Skill level: Easy

Materials:

-- Bernat Blanket Yarn in colour of your choice

(I used EXACT 1 big ball to make one. If your crochet loosely, you might need a smaller size hook)

-- Small amount of Seafoam and Black colour for the goggle

-- Size K (7 mm) hook

-- Tapestry needle

-- Fiber fill

Abbreviations:

sc - single crochet

inc - increase

dec - decrease

sl st - slip stitch

Note:

-- This body pattern is worked in continuous rounds. Use a stitch marker to mark the last stitch of each row; move it up as you go along.

-- The body is worked from the bottom to the top. Start from the legs and end at the head.

-- The backpack pattern is worked with join stitch. Begin your round in same stitch as your joining chain.

Big size Among Us plush

Finished size:

36cm x 20cm (14" x 8")

Leg pattern (Make 2):

With the main colour

Leg 1,

Round 1: make 8 sc in magic ring, [8] (Put the stitch marker in the last stitch)

Round 2: sc inc around, [16]

Round 3: (sc, sc inc), repeat ( ) around, [24]

Round 4 - 11: sc around, [24]

Leave a tail for later sewing.

Cut and fasten off.

*I made 11 rounds for the legs. But after I finished stuffing, I noticed the legs look a bit longer than I expected. I didn't want to frog it, so just kept it like that.

So you can make 10 rounds for the legs if you like it shorter.

Leg 2,

Repeat round 1 to round 11,

Chain 4, connect to leg 1 with a sc. (As shown in pictures below)

Now we continue working on the body.

Round 12: sc around leg 1, sc in each chain, sc around leg 2, [56 including the chains]

Round 13: sc in each chain, sc around, [56]

Keep the tail of leg 1 outside for later sewing.

Round 14 - 32: sc around, [56]

Stuff the legs and body with fiber fill.

Stuff with more fiber fill before completely closing.

You can start stuffing before decreasing.

Round 33: (6 sc, sc dec) , repeat ( ) around, [49]

Round 34: (5 sc, sc dec), repeat ( ) around, [42]

Round 35: (4 sc, sc dec), repeat ( ) around, [35]

Round 36: (3 sc, sc dec), repeat ( ) around, [28]

Round 37: (2 sc, sc dec), repeat ( ) around, [21]

Round 38: (sc, sc dec), repeat ( ) around, [14]

Round 39: sc dec around, [7]

Round 40: sc around, [7]

Fasten off, close the top and weave in end.

There are holes between two legs after you finish. So use the yarn tail from leg 1 to weave in and out to close the holes.

Backpack pattern:

With main colour, chain 17.

Round 1: 2 sc in second chain from hook, sc in next 14 chains, 3 sc in last chain, turn your work and work on the other side of the chain. Sc in next 14 chains, sc in last chain, join, [34]

Stuff the backpack with fiber fill. Closed the top with slip stitch two sides together.

Row 2: sc inc, 7 sc, sc inc, chain 1, turn, [11]

Row 3: sc inc, 9 sc, sc inc, chain 1, turn, [13]

Row 4: sc inc, 11 sc, sc inc, chain 1, turn, [15]

At last, sew the backpack and goggle on the body.

Remember to stuff some fiber fill when you sew the goggle on.

I made a pink one with 10 rounds on the legs. The orange one's legs are 11 rounds.

They don't have much different. Do they?
